Issuers play a crucial role within the sendme system, acting as the central authority responsible for issuing (minting), policy enforcement, and management of the digital currency. Issuer governs usage, distribution, and transaction rules via established predefined policies associated with Digital Currency (DC).

Let's explore their functions and their impact on the system's integrity and stability.

Function

  • Issuing:

    • Issues (CB)DC on-chain.

  • Policy Management:

    • Adds new or updates / removes existing policies.

  • Validator Empowerment:

    • Issues unique NFT tokens to designated participants, granting them "" status.

  • Safeguarding:

    • Freezes (CB)DC held in a specific wallet under exceptional circumstances.

    • Clawbacks (CB)DC from a participant’s wallet based on legal mandates.

    • Delegates safeguarding capabilities to designated external participants.

Relation to Compliance Processor

  • The Compliance Processor verifies transactions considering policies and Property tokens of transaction participants.

The enforces policies that are defined by Issuers for all (CB)DC transactions.
